Q) What is Wishbox Co? A) Wishbox Co is a unique online wishing well where guests contribute a nominated amount as your gift. If you've considered your registry options and decided the best gift is money then Wishbox Co is the right registry for you! We take care of your guests and their gift to you and save them time and travel visiting stores or sifting through pages of product images. Our free service allows our account holders the luxury of purchasing their own presents or; putting it towards your wedding or birthday, honeymoon or anything at all that you wish!
Q) Does it cost anything to register for an account? A) No. Unlike other gift registry services, there are no fees at all associated with holding a Wishbox Co account.
Q) Do my guests get charged to make a contribution? A) A seven percent processing fee is deducted from all contributions made. This fee contributes to a 'Wishbox' which is presented to the account holder/s after their special day.
Q) What type of events can I use a Wishbox Co account for? A) The sky is the limit! If it is cash that you would prefer over gifts then a Wishbox Co registry is the perfect choice! Some examples of accounts we have provided a service for are Engagements, Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings and many more.
Q) How do my guests know I have an account with Wishbox Co? A) Upon registration, Wishbox Co will supply you with “Contribution Cards" that can be included with your invitations (or you may wish to send them electronically). These cards let your guests know about your Wishbox Co account, and politely asks them to make a contribution. Alternatively, you may wish to inform your guests that you have a Wishbox Co account on your own invitations and for your convenience; a URL (web link) is available for your use.
Q) What is the maximum or minimum amount that can be deposited into a Wishbox Co account? A) Minimum amount is $10 and the maximum amount is unlimited.
Q) How long is a Wishbox Co account open for? A) Your account is set by default to close the day after your event. This enables your guest/s that may have left contributing to your special day until the last minute; to still make a contribution. You may extend this date if you wish.
Q) How do I know this is a secure site? A) Your information is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) security. An SSL Certificate enables encryption of sensitive information during online transactions which protects your data during transfer. Each certificate contains unique authenticated information about the certificate owner and a certificate authority verifies the identity of the owner when it is issued. Q) Do you have the option of your amount remaining anonymous when you make a deposit? A) Yes, you can choose to have the amount you contributed disclosed or kept anonymous. If you choose this option, the account holder will still receive notification of your contribution but the amount will be withheld.
Q) Can I pass on a special message to the account holder when making a contribution? A) Yes you have the option of entering a special message when making a contribution. This is in turn passed onto the account holder.
Q) How long does it take for a contribution to clear? A) Two to three business days.
Q) Once I register for an account with Wishbox Co, how long will it take before it is ready to receive contributions? A) After you have opened your online account an automated email will be sent to the email address provided. Upon replying to this email, your account will be activated within twenty four hours (or the next business day if you have registered on a weekend or public holiday). Once active, your account is ready to receive contributions.
Q) Can I access my online Wishbox Co account once it's active? A) Yes, by logging into your account you can view and change all of your account details. Your Contribution link (or URL) will also be displayed and you may also view the current total of contributions that your account has received.

Q) Can I pay via Cheque or Direct Deposit? A) Yes, these are the only payment methods that we accept.
Q) Is Wishbox Co an Australian Company that operates in Australian currency? A) Yes. We are an Australian Company therefore all contributions and transactions are in Australian currency (dollars).
Q) Once I log into my account, can I see a list of current contributions? A) You do not have access to the individual list of contributions but may view the most recent contribution as well as the current running total. Upon closure of your account the complete detailed list will be presented to you in your 'Wishbox'.
Q) What is a 'Wishbox'? A) A 'Wishbox' is the final icing on the cake! It is sent to you via registered post 3-5 days after your event and is a special memento of your special occasion. A 'Wishbox' consists of a congratulations card which lists all guests that contributed as well as the amounts (unless anonymous), special messages your guests left whilst contributing and a transaction receipt (or cheque) for all contributions made.
Q) Who determines when an account is closed? A) Your account is set by default to close the day after your event. This is to ensure all late payments are still received as some guests wait until the very last minute before making a contribution. You may extend this date if you wish.
Q) Is a bank transfer the only way an account holder can receive their money? A) No, Wishbox Co is happy to use another method if the account holder so desires. I.e. cheque.
Q) Do my guests need a password to access my Wishbox Co account? A) No.
Q) How do guests locate an account? A) Guests may search for an account by typing in the event holders first or last name on the Contributions page.
Q) Can guests making a contribution use any form of payment? A) No, only payments via Direct Deposit or cheque are accepted.
Q) I still don't know the date of my event, or the venue. Can I still open an account? A) Yes. Once you do know the date and/or venue, you can login to your Wishbox Co account to enter the correct details.
Q) When can I open an account? A) You can open an account whenever you want! However; we recommend that you do so prior to sending out your invitations. To help notify your guests of your Wishbox Co registry, we supply you with contribution cards that we recommend you send out with your invitations.
Q) Once an account has been opened, does this become my online wishing well? A) Yes. Once an account has been opened, this is your online wishing well or cash registry.
Q) What is a 'contribution card'? A) A contribution card is an informative insert we provide that can be sent out with your invitations (or electronically). It politely and tastefully informs your guests of your Wishbox Co account and respectfully requests them to make a contribution. Alternatively, you may choose to incorporate your own wording on to your invitations to inform your guests of your Wishbox Co account. |
